Puppy availability & our Breeding plans

 We plan our breeding programme one year at a time, giving careful consideration to each individual dog, our planned pairings and the timing of each litter.

Our plans for the 2027 breeding programme will be made in early December 2026. Until those plans have been made, we will not be opening waiting lists for any 2027 litters.

Going forward, our waiting lists will open no more than three months before a planned mating.

Our waiting lists have always been deliberately kept small. We only accept a limited number of families for each planned litter because we never want to create an unrealistically long list or give families an expectation that we may not be able to fulfil.

Over time, however, we have found that opening a waiting list too far in advance can create difficulties for everyone. It is completely understandable that circumstances change. Families may decide that the timing is no longer right for them, postpone their plans or find a puppy elsewhere. Unfortunately, when we are not made aware of those changes, a place can remain reserved for somebody who no longer requires it.

Because our waiting lists are intentionally limited, this can also mean that we have turned other suitable families away in the meantime because, as far as we are aware, our list is already full.

For that reason, we feel that opening our lists closer to the time of a planned mating is the fairest approach for everyone. It allows us to keep our waiting lists small, current and meaningful, while giving prospective families a much more realistic timeframe in which to make their decision.

This is not about creating urgency or encouraging anyone to make a quick decision. Quite the opposite. We want families to contact us when the timing is genuinely right for them and when we have a planned litter that may be suitable.

 We are often asked whether prospective families can visit us and meet our dogs before joining a waiting list. While we completely understand why people would like to do this, we only arrange visits when we have a puppy available for that family.

This is purely a matter of time management. We receive hundreds of enquiries every year, and it simply is not possible for us to open our home to everyone who would like to visit, meet our dogs or discuss the possibility of having a puppy at some point in the future.

Our dogs are first and foremost part of our family, and this is our home as well as the place from which we run our breeding programme. Limiting visits allows us to protect our time and, importantly, to give our dogs, puppies and existing puppy families the time and attention they deserve.

When we do have a puppy available for you, there will be plenty of opportunity to talk, ask questions, meet us and our dogs, and for us to get to know you too. We believe that meeting should be meaningful for both sides and should take place when there is genuinely a puppy available for you to consider.

We are always very happy to answer questions and provide information before that stage, so please do get in touch if you would like to know more about us, our dogs or how our breeding programme works.

 Health testing is an extremely important part of our breeding programme.

The health test certificates referred to here are the individual health certificates and test results for our breeding dogs. They are not certificates relating to individual puppies.

We are always happy for prospective puppy families to see the relevant health testing documentation for the dogs involved in their puppy's breeding.

However, we do not send copies of our dogs' health test certificates by email, message, social media or any other electronic means.

Unfortunately, health test documentation belonging to our dogs that we have provided in the past has subsequently been used fraudulently. For that reason, we made the decision that copies of these certificates will no longer be sent out or distributed.

This should never be mistaken for an unwillingness to provide evidence of our health testing. All relevant health test certificates and documentation for our breeding dogs are available for you to view in person when you visit us, once we have a puppy available to you.

At that stage, you are very welcome to look through the relevant documentation, ask us about the health testing we carry out and discuss the results with us. We want every family having one of our puppies to understand the health testing behind their puppy and to feel completely comfortable with the information they have been shown.

We simply ask for your understanding that, due to previous fraudulent use, our dogs' health test certificates are available to view in person, but copies are not distributed.

 Our 2027 breeding plans will be made in early December 2026, and waiting lists will open no more than three months before a planned mating.

Until then, there are no waiting lists open for 2027.
